Granada Granada is a lovely town on the shore of the Nicaragua Lake. It has many old colonial building and many nice churches. Ask the caretaker of the La Merced church for the permission to climb the bell tower. In exchange of a small propina you will be given this panoramic view on the rooftops of the city, the lake and the Mombacho volcano.
