León León fût la capitale du Nicaragua pendant 200 ans jusqu'en 1851 quand Managua lui ravit le titre. C'est une très belle ville avec beaucoup de bâtiments de l'époque coloniale. Pour avoir une belle vue sur la ville et les volcan allez au El Fortin, un vieux fort juste en dehors de la ville.
