Forum des Halles on a stormy day The Forum des Halles is a large and mostly underground shopping center. It is the former site of the famous Halles, the open markets immortalized by Émile Zola in Le ventre de Paris, demolished in 1971. This wooden terrasse is overlooking the sort of pit in the center of the Forum. The weather was heavily overcast and the hidden sun gave a soft look to the picture.
