End of the afternoon in the Buttes Chaumont Park This 25 ha park in the north-east of Paris (19° arrondissement) has a 2 ha lake a Before Emperor Napoléon III decided to transform the site into a park in 1860 it has been the site of the infamous Montfaucon gallows and was turned afterwards into a vast public wasteground. It was opened to public at the time of the 1867 Universal Exhibition. Due to its situation on the slopes of a hill there are many panoramic view points. In the center we can see the temple of Sibylle, overhanging the cliffs, 30 metres above the lake.
