Sunset from the Bir Hakeim bridge
Built in 1903-05 it combines a road bridge and a metro viaduct in the upper part. It's a two part bridge as it straddle the Ile des Cygnes island.
Called the Passy viaduct until 1948, the work was renamed the Pont de Bir-Hakeim to commemorate General Koenig's June 1942 victory over Rommel in the Libyan desert. The statue is called La France renaissante by the danish sculptor Wederkinch.
