Parc de la Villette Replacing the old slaughterhouses of la Villette, the Parc de la Villette with 35 hectares of lawns and gardens, is the largest green space in Paris. The Parc consists of 35 red "follies", sport and recreation areas, playgrounds, and a music center and museum. On the other side of the canal de Ourcq is the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, a large science and technology museum. The shiny ball is an Omnimax movie theatre.
