Between the two levels of the Pont de Solférino It's a pedestrian footbridge linking the Orsay museum and the Tuileries gardens. The old bridge inaugurated by Napoleon III in 1861 was demolished in 1960, replaced by a "temporary" steel footbridge then by the actual one built in 1997-99. It crosses the river Seine in a single arch 106 m in span, with no intermediate support in the river. The two levels of the bridge meets in the central part. Taking a panoramic picture between the two levels was a mean to avoid direct sunlight and also reveals the structure of the bridge. I've completed a first rotation of the camera when I saw an old lady slowly climbing the steps using the railing to help her. I moved my camera out of her way but have to start my pictures again from the beginning.
