    Paris - Panoramic pictures
Paris - 24/11/2002 - 16:30
View from the Arc de Triomphe at dusk
The Arc is located on the place Charles-de-Gaulle, twelve avenues radiate from the arch which explains why it is also called place de l'Étoile (Star). Thre broadest avenue is the Champs-Elysées then you have, clockwise, Marceau, Iéna, Kléber, Victor Hugo, Foch, Grande-Armée, Carnot, Mac-Mahon, Wagram, Hoche and Friedland.
That was a difficult picture to take. First thing you cannot use a tripod on the monument. Then I've been obliged to take four sets of pictures from each corner of the Arc and tried afterward to merge the parts. This explains the funny look of the sidewalks at the end of each avenue and the fact that I've not been able to close the panorama.
